Jess’s passion has always been supporting children and families. She has been an early childhood educator and school leader for over 20 years, spending her time with children from infants through age five and their families. She is also a mom of a curious, creative, and strong-willed four-year-old daughter who likes to do anything but eat and sleep. Becoming a mom has taught Jess firsthand that parenting journeys are filled with new adventures, joys, and challenges—often all at the same time!

At and after the birth of her daughter, Jess had a wonderful doula who made her family’s transition to parenthood a little more peaceful. She is excited to bring this same reassurance and support to other families. Jess offers warm, gentle postpartum support to families during those exciting and challenging first few months of parenthood.

Jess struggled with breastfeeding her baby, and benefited greatly from guidance and education along this journey. She has since been trained as a lactation counselor, with the goal of supporting others as they feed their babies, however they may choose to do so.

  • "Jess adds love to everything she does. It felt like we had a close friend coming to lend a hand. She is warm and understanding, easy to talk to, isn’t judgmental, and has experience with babies & young children, which especially helpful with our older son. She helped me have an easier experience with breastfeeding than I did with our first son. Choosing Jess as our doula was easily the best decision we made for our postpartum journey. While we were not used to having someone here to help, she made sure to jump in and take care of stuff without asking. When we were confused about something, she made sure to do research and offer perspective. Overall, I highly recommend Jess, as I already have recommended her to everyone I know!"

  • "As a first-time parent, I was so grateful to have Jess as part of our lives. Jess has a naturally reassuring demeanor which has a calming effect on babies - and adults! Her knowledge and expertise were so essential to helping us navigate our son's development in those early days, and she offered help with a non-judgemental, partnership-based approach that empowered and encouraged us as parents. To any parent of a baby or young child, I highly recommend having Jess as part of your support team!"

  • "Going into labor, and being a new parent, can be a scary thing. I wasn’t really sure what I needed and when I needed it. But Jess was with me every step of the way, and she made me feel safe and comforted. Her presence in my home was quiet and respectful of my space. My time with Jess is complete, and as a young mom who lives alone, her presence is missed."
