Tanesha is a postpartum doula trained in lactation support. She desires to help nurture and guide the families she works with to have a smooth transition into parenthood whether it's their 1st or 5th time. She grew up in a community where mothers always had a village to lean on and so she approaches her work with a balance of tenderness, passion and a good sense of humor. This can look like her assisting in feeding, protecting sleep where families can rest knowing the baby is in good hands or if there is time, preparing a meal from her Jamaican roots that support the healing process after birth. Tanesha offers emotional, physical and mental support not only to the parents but any other children as well because having a baby is an adjustment for everyone. Her presence allows you to focus on what is truly important during this sacred time and that is self-care and rest so you have the energy to love on your baby and family.

  • "Tanesha was a huge support in our first few nights as first time parents. She helped greatly with tips on how to breastfeed more effectively and was very knowledgeable about the proper nutrition needed to keep up milk supply. Her gentle and calming nature helped ease our anxieties and we felt extremely comfortable leaving our son in her care while we were able get a few hours rest."

  • "Hiring Tanesha was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made! Despite being experienced parents, juggling the constant needs of a newborn and toddler with all of our daily household responsibilities was extremely challenging. It was so nice to have someone come over to look after this very tired Mom and give her a break for a change! The overnight shifts were a tremendous lifesaver and helped maintain our sanity giving everyone much needed continuous rest. Her knowledge and experience were helpful refreshers and great advice for us to ensure quality care for our daughters."
